HAPPY VALLEY, OR (KPTV) -

A drunken driver who slammed into six cars stopped at a red light on an Interstate 205 off-ramp, killing one woman, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Alexander Delucia, 59, pleaded guilty last month to charges of first-degree manslaughter, DUII and third-degree assault. He was sentenced Tuesday.

Police said Delucia was drunk and speeding when he drove his 2003 Infiniti G35 into stopped cars on the southbound off-ramp to Southeast Sunnyside Road in July 2015.

The driver of an SUV that was hit, 60-year-old Sheilah Krausse of Happy Valley, was critically injured and pronounced dead at the hospital.

Along with 12 years in prison, Delucia was sentenced to three years post-prison supervision. Court records show Delucia has a criminal history that includes two previous DUII convictions.
