The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after two men were shot in North Bonneville on Wednesday evening.

Both shooting victims were taken to Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver to be treated. Their conditions and the extent of their injuries is unknown.

According to the Skamania County Sheriff’s Office, at about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a call of a burglary in progress at an apartment complex on Yehuh Street in North Bonneville. A second 911 call reported that someone had been shot.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man, who lives at the apartment, with a gunshot wound to the face. The second victim, also a male, had left the scene. Shortly after, deputies learned the second victim was at the Washougal Police Department. He was then transported to the hospital.

A third man, who also lives at the apartment, was detained and transported to the Skamania County Jail.

Deputies are looking for a female resident of the apartment. She was questioned briefly at the scene and then left the area. Her whereabouts are unknown at this time.

The gun used in the shooting has been recovered by law enforcement.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation into this incident is in the very early stages. No further information was released.
