Gang Enforcement Team investigating two shootings in N. Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Police Bureau's Gang Enforcement Team is investigating two shootings in north Portland Friday night.

Police said at 8 p.m., officers responded to the 9500 block of North Todd Street on the report of gunfire.

When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire, including damage to two parked cars and two homes. Police said information they learned at the scene indicates that several people were firing guns and all left the area.

No gunshot victims were found at the scene or at any Portland hospitals.

At 9:55 p.m., officers responded to another report of gunfire at Northeast 8th Avenue and Broadway.

Officers arrived to the scene and found evidence of gunfire. No gunshot victims were located.

Witnesses told police after they heard gunfire, several African American men ran and left in different vehicles.

Police said they do not know if these shootings are connected at this time.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to call Portland police.
