HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

The Hillsboro Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a driver they believe fled the scene after hitting a 75-year-old woman.

Officers responded to the scene at Minter Bridge Road near River Road in Hillsboro at 4:50 p.m. Sunday, where they said a pickup struck the woman before taking off from the area.

The victim suffered a serious head injury and possible internal injuries in the incident. She was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and is in serious condition.

Investigators described the suspect vehicle as a late 90’s Ford F-150 truck, with a red two-tone paint job with white or silver and with a red canopy. They also said the truck likely had a broken front turn signal.

Officers said there was not a description of the driver.

Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call Hillsboro police at 503-681-6175.
