Salem police investigating early-morning deadly crash

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Police in Salem are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred early Monday morning and left a Gervais man dead.

Officers responded to Liberty Street SE near Superior Street SE at around 1:37 a.m. on reports of a car driving into a tree.

When they arrived on scene officers found a maroon 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer with a single occupant, 32-year-old Andrew Ramon, inside.

Police found no other vehicles around the scene of the crash and had the area and surrounding roadways closed for several hours for the investigation.

The department still has the crash under investigation and asks that anyone with information on the incident please call Corporal Jeff Keniston at 503-588-6050, extension 7163.
