Woman, horse rescued after falling down hill near Lake Oswego

LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -

A horse and its owner were rescued after falling down a hillside near Lake Oswego Thursday afternoon.

Lake Oswego Fire was called out to Iron Mountain Boulevard around 3:30 p.m. for a rescue.

According to Lake Oswego Fire, a woman named Dixie was riding her five-year-old horse, Denver, on the trails when the horse got spooked. The two tumble 100-feet down a hillside and got stuck.

After about two hours, crews were able to safely rescue them.

Neither the woman or the horse were injured.
