VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Vancouver police have made an arrest in connection with a case involving a man who impersonated a police officer and attempted to kidnap a woman last week.

On Saturday, officers conducted a search warrant at a home in the 14600 block of Southeast 8th Street in Vancouver, according to police.

Evidence found as part of the search warrant, as well as information provided by the victims from the incident on Nov. 27 and another incident on Nov. 26 that was not reported, led to the arrest of 46-year-old Shannon W. Stover.

Stover was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant and faces one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, one count of kidnapping, and two counts of rape. He was booked into the Clark County Jail.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and detectives believe there are likely additional victims and anticipate additional charges. They encourage any victims who may have had an incident involving Stover and did not report it at the time to call police at (360) 487-7355.

Anyone who may have additional information related to the investigation is asked to call the Vancouver Police Tip Line at (360) 487-7399.
