WASHINGTON COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man convicted of posting “revenge porn” of an ex-girlfriend after he failed to report to jail to begin serving his sentence.

Benjamin J. Barber, 31, was sentenced last Thursday to serve six months following his November conviction on five counts of unlawful dissemination of an intimate image, the first conviction of this type in the state.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office received a criminal complaint in June that Barber had posted pornographic videos of himself and someone he had had been in a relationship with to multiple adult websites.

The victim told deputies the videos were made with consent, however after the relationship ended, Barber posted the videos online without the victim's knowledge or approval.

At his sentencing, the circuit court judge ordered Barber to report to the Washington County Jail by 7 p.m. Friday, December 2. After his failure to report, a warrant was issued for Barber’s arrest.

Deputies ask anyone seeing Barber to call 911 or the non-emergency dispatch number at 503-629-0111. They also advise not to approach him.
