SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

A Salem church has been targeted by burglars for the second time in less than two months.

Doug Beisley is the Youth Pastor at Oak Park Church of God off Lancaster Drive Northeast in Salem. He said Friday night at least two people broke into the church and stole just about anything they could get their hands on.

“They took a crow bar and pried open this door,” Beisley said.

The thieves made off with a personal laptop among other items around the church.

“My sermon prep was on there, so I am having to redo all of my sermon for this Sunday, so everything was on the computer that was stolen,” Beisley said.

In October, Beisley said several people broke in and stole a music equipment worth thousands of dollars.

"All of our sound equipment, all of our instruments, computers, projection equipment… everything is gone,” Beisley said.

Security cameras captured everything. He has posted images to social media in hopes someone will recognize the suspects.

“You’re taking from people who are trying to do good things in the community, we are trying feed the homeless, trying to reach people, we’re trying to meet needs to people in our community and you are just kind of taking things from us and it really hurts,” Beisley said.

Beisley has heard from Salem police that they have received reports of at least seven other church burglaries around the Salem area over the last two months.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Salem police.
