A Utah man has been connected to a stolen vehicle in his home state, as well as two in Oregon, according to deputies.

Linn County deputies responded to a report of a stolen 2013 Dodge pickup on the 34100 block of Riverside Drive in Albany on Saturday morning.

The victim told investigators a 2001 Ford pickup was left on his property and it appeared that someone went into several of his outbuildings, but nothing else was taken or damaged.

Deputies contacted the registered owner of the 2001 Ford truck and learned it was stolen from a worksite on the 31400 block of Highway 34.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office was notified later Saturday that the stolen 2013 Dodge pickup had been involved in a chase following the theft of gas in the Grants Pass area.

The driver, 20-year-old Ryker Tyson Joyner of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, was arrested.

On Monday, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a field near the Highway 34 and Interstate 5 interchange. The Jeep Compass was determined to have been stolen in West Valley, Utah on Dec. 1.

Investigators said they found evidence in the Jeep indicating Joyner had been driving it.

Joyner was transferred from the Josephine County Jail to the Linn County Jail on charges of unlawful possession of a vehicle, unlawful use of a vehicle, unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, third-degree theft, second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree burglary.

Anyone with additional information about this case is asked to contact the Linn County Sheriff's Office at 541-967-3950.
