BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Telephone wires came down onto a postal vehicle with an employee inside in the Beaverton area.

Emergency crews responded to the scene of a downed tree at Southwest Jamieson Road and Pinehurst Drive near Beaverton Hillsdale Highway at 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

Firefighters said they arrived to find the postal worker still in her truck, due to the possibility that the downed lines were electrical.

Crews determined they were phone lines and not power lines, which allowed the worker to safely exit her vehicle.

Part of the road was closed as crews worked to clean up the scene.
