CAMAS, WA (KPTV) -

A Camas man was taken to the hospital after part of a tree broke off and crashed into the sunroom of his home.

Emergency crews responded to Northwest 11th Avenue at 10:45 a.m. Thursday.

Firefighters said part of a 50-foot tree broke off due to high winds. The tree limb was estimated to be 20 feet long.

It crashed into the sunroom, where an elderly man and his wife were sitting at the time.

The man suffered injuries to his face and was taken to the hospital. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to firefighters.
