PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Clackamas County deputies say a chase led to a crash in southeast Portland early Sunday.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy spotted a vehicle as it was committing a traffic infraction and tried to stop the car.

The driver failed to yield, and the deputy pursued the vehicle for a couple of blocks before it collided with an SUV near Southeast 68th Avenue and Southeast Flavel Street at about 2:30 a.m.

The SUV went through a fence and ended up in someone's front yard.

Witnesses say at least two people were taken to the hospital, and officers had others in handcuffs. There is no word on how badly the people were hurt, or if anyone was arrested.

Deputies say the vehicle turned out to be stolen out of Washington state.

More information about this story will be posted as it becomes available.
