PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A portion of Northwest Cornell Road in Portland will remain closed so crews can fully assess a landslide.

The closure is from below the Audubon Society to past the first tunnel, according to the Portland Bureau of Transportation.

PBOT says during last week's storm, a section of slope on the south side of NW Cornell gave way and spread debris onto the roadway.

Before it can be reopened, engineers must assess the stability of the ground above the slide area and determine what repairs need to be done to make sure the roadway is safe. There is no estimate on when it will reopen.

Also on Sunday, PBOT crews reopened West Burnside from Skyline to Northwest 23rd after clearing downed trees and a landslide.
