GRESHAM, OR (KPTV) -

Friends gathered Monday evening to remember a young man who was found dead in a Gresham park over the weekend.

Police say 20-year-old James Arrington's body was found near the baseball field at Main City Park on Saturday. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Arrington's friends say they will always remember the young man as the unbelievably funny kid who was always found riding around town on his skateboard.

They say Arrington was like family to many and will be greatly missed.

"He's like my son. And nobody deserves that, I don't care what anyone says," said friend Tamera Mayes. "Jimmy was loved and everything, he had my two boys, he had my mother and my father, we thought of him as my son."

Investigators have not released any suspect information.

If you know anything about what happened, please call Gresham police.
