PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Bureau of Transportation says a portion of Northwest Cornell Road is expected to remain closed through the upcoming storm.

A new snowstorm is expected to move through the Portland metro area on Wednesday which could cause more problems to NW Cornell.

During last week's storm, a section of slope on the south side of NW Cornell gave way and spread debris onto the roadway. Trees remain in the landslide area.

Street lights and lighting in the tunnel near the slide lack electricity due to damaged power lines that need to be repaired.

The closure is from below the Audubon Society to past the first tunnel, according to PBOT.

PBOT says only local access traffic is allowed on NW Cornell east of Northwest Thompson and west of Northwest Westover.
