Sheriff: Six men arrested in Lincoln County sex crimes investigation

SILETZ, OR (KPTV) -

Six men were arrested on charges including rape in connection with a Lincoln Count sex crimes investigation.

A warrant sweep focusing on the city of Siletz and surrounding areas was carried out on Wednesday.

The sweep resulted in six arrests for sex crimes, according to deputies, as well as one arrest on a probation violation warrant.

Those arrested were identified as:

Dalton D. Wise, 32, of Toledo on a warrant for third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and unlawful delivery of a schedule II controlled substance to a minor.

Brandon R. Halberg, 28, of Blodgett, on a warrant for third-degree rape and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.

Gregory S. Phillips, 33, of Siletz, on a warrant for third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and third-degree sexual abuse.

Wayne A. Rondo, 51, of Siletz, on a warrant for first-degree rape and attempted third-degree rape.

Dale A. Eason, 29, of Newport, on a warrant for third-degree rape, third-degree sexual abuse and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.

Jeffrey J. Paul, 22, of Siletz, on a warrant for third-degree rape, contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor and unlawful delivery of a schedule I controlled substance to a minor.

Daniel L. Alvarez, 29, of Siletz was arrested on a warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamine during the sweep.

Deputies said 11 grams of methamphetamine was discovered during the sweep. Charges are pending in connection with the drugs, according to investigators.

Another investigation was also initiated on possible animal neglect charges after a malnourished dog and two puppies were found with inadequate shelter, food and water, according to deputies. Lincoln County Animal Services took custody of the dogs and the investigation is ongoing.

The warrant sweep was conducted by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Newport Police Department and Oregon State Police.
