PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

It may not be done snowing in Portland just yet.

Snow flurries are possible for Saturday, according to FOX 12 meteorologists.

While the flurries might leave behind just a trace of snow, the snow is expected to stick and could once again create problems on Portland-area roads.

Wednesday's snowstorm gridlocked highways and main roads in and around the city.

Sunshine helped melt the remaining snow and ice on Portland roads Friday afternoon, but what doesn't melt will re-freeze quickly by Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Before the possible flurries arrive Saturday, temperatures are expected to drop not only below freezing, but into the teens overnight.

The forecast calls for a low of 16 degrees in the metro area Saturday, with some outlying areas dropping into the low-teens.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the region, calling for a trace to a half inch of snow Saturday.

Flurries are also possible Sunday, but less likely.

Portland Public Schools announced all weekend activities, including athletics, were canceled for the weekend. More closures

Temperatures are expected to be in the 40s next week with multiple days of rain in the forecast.
