PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man evicted from his north Portland apartment complex shot two property management workers, according to police.

Officers responded to Cascadian Terrace Apartments on the 5700 block of North Kerby Avenue at 12:36 p.m. Monday.

They arrived to find two people suffering from gunshot wounds. The 45-year-old man and 64-year-old woman were seriously injured and taken to the hospital, but they were both expected to survive the shooting.

The suspect, Reynaldo Diaz Cabrera, 65, was found in a vehicle near Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Winchell Street.  Police took Cabrera into custody.

Cabrera was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on two counts of attempted murder.

Investigators said a gun was seized as evidence.

Investigators said Cabrera was formally evicted from his apartment Monday and the victims were both employees of the complex management.

Police said there is no continued risk to the public in connection with this shooting.
