TIGARD, OR (KPTV) -

Over and inch of rain fell between Monday night and Tuesday morning, bringing problems like flooding and landslides to the morning commute.

At least two landslides occurred on major highways Tuesday morning.

Crews said a landslide happened around 3 a.m. near milepost 10 on Highway 99W at the intersection of Bull Mountain Road in Tigard.

The Oregon Department of Transportation said about 80 yards of earth and debris fell onto the road, forcing crews to close the northbound lane.

Commuters should expect delays in the area. There is no word on when the road will reopen.

Another landslide has been reported on Highway 30 near Mill Road in Northwest Portland just before 7 a.m. ODOT said the right eastbound lane and shoulder are closed.

No one was injured in either landslide, according to ODOT.

A large amount of standing water has been seen in many low-lying areas, including SR-503 near Padden Parkway in Vancouver. Traffic officials would like to remind drivers to slow down when driving through high water levels.

Because of heavy rain, the Oregon Department of Geology has issued landslide warnings in flood watch areas.

According to the National Weather Service, the Portland metro, the central and south Willamette Valley, and a large section of the northern coast are under a flood watch through 4 p.m. Tuesday.  Parts of southern Washington including Vancouver, the I-5 corridor and the south coast are also at risk.

State officials said roads and structures located below steep slopes and near mouths of canyons may be at serious risk. Learn more information about landslides at OregonGeology.org.
