PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Trail Blazers have traded guard Tim Quarterman to the Houston Rockets.

The team announced the deal Wednesday morning. The Blazers will receive "cash considerations" in the trade.

Quarterman signed as an undrafted free agent with the Blazers in 2016. He appeared in just 16 games during his rookie season and averaged 1.9 points per game.

“We thank Tim for his contributions to the team and wish him all the best for the future,” said Neil Olshey, Blazers president of basketball operations.

The Rockets were also involved in a far more high-profile trade Tuesday, agreeing to acquire all-star guard Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers, according to NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.
