OREGON CITY, OR (KPTV) -

Oregon City will soon be home to a new TV series airing on Netflix.

the Oregon Governor's Office of Film and Television confirmed to FOX 12 that the show "Everything Sucks" is filming in Oregon now.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show is based in 1990's Oregon about a group of high school misfits and the clash between the A.V. club and the drama club.

Folks in Oregon City said they are excited about a series based in their town.

“I don't think you can show Oregon enough,” Roger Alvey said. “Any exposure we get is usually pretty good exposure because once people move here they tend to stay.”

Viewers wanting to check it out will have to wait, though. The series is not set for release on Netflix until next year.
