ALBANY, OR (KPTV) -

An Albany man wanted for several sex abuse crimes involving a minor was found and captured in Arizona, according to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

Undersheriff Jim Yon said 35-year-old Christopher Michael Douglass has been extradited to Oregon and is now being lodged in the Linn County Jail on charges of first-degree sex abuse and second-degree unlawful sexual penetration.

Deputies completed an investigation of Douglas on May 16 and obtained a warrant for his arrest before then learning that he had fled the state.

Continuing their investigation, deputies received leads the indicated Douglas was possibly in Bullhead City, Arizona.

The deputies reached out the Bullhead Police Department to notify investigators of the existing warrant, and officers were able to locate and, after a short foot chase, arrest Douglas without incident.

The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation, and deputies believe there could still be more victims of Douglas and ask anyone with information to contact Senior Deputy Lacy at 541-967-3950.
