PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Multnomah County Medical Examiner reported late Friday that the body of a man for the Columbia River slough has been identified.

According to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, the victim has been identified as 20-year-old Rakesh Nath of Portland.

Nath’s body was found in the slough on June 17 by a boater. Earlier this week the sheriff’s office released photos of a tattoo the victim had in an attempt aid in the identification.

Both the sheriff’s office and the medical examiner are crediting the numerous tips they received from the public with helping them determine Nath’s identity.
