Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by vehicle in SE Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in southeast Portland Monday night.

Portland police say the crash happened at 10:24 p.m. in the area of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Woodward Place.

When officers and medical personnel arrived on scene, they found a man in his 20s suffering from traumatic injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Southeast 122nd Avenue is closed in both directions from Clinton to Tibbetts Streets while the Traffic Division's Major Crash Team investigates the crash.
