Portland police investigating shots fired near NE grocery store

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Officers are investigating a report of gunfire near the parking lot of a northeast Portland grocery store Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers from the North Precinct responded to the Albertsons located at Northeast 58th Avenue and Prescott Street just before 4:30 p.m.

Once there, the officers learned there had been a large fight and disturbance in the parking lot that then led to gunfire across the street at a 7-Eleven store.

Officers with the Gang Enforcement Team responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation.

According to police, no gunshot victims were located at the scene and none have arrived at area hospitals.
