HILLSBORO, OR (KPTV) -

The Hillsboro Police Department has identified the armed man suspected of trying to steal a helicopter Monday.

On Wednesday, police said 25-year-old Holden Austin Gorka was the man who tried to hijack a helicopter and fired a gun at the Hillsboro Airport two days earlier.

Investigators said Monday Gorka threatened the two people inside of the helicopter with a gun and fired at least one shot that did not hit anyone. After officers arrived, Gorka fled and was then killed.

An autopsy on Gorka was conducted Tuesday and the toxicology report will take up to 90 days. Investigators said Wednesday that initial findings didn’t indicate that Gorka had a history of mental health issues or substance abuse.

So far the investigation has found no connection between Gorka and the Hillsboro Aero Academy, according to police, and FAA records did not show anyone with Gorka's name having a pilot's license.

Police said Gorka had no current address. The Major Crimes Team is now building a profile on Gorka and trying to track down every bit of information they can from his past in an attempt to figure out what the motive was behind what happened.

The name of the officer who shot Gorka will be released by police Thursday.
