KELSO, WA (KPTV) -

The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a 91-year-old man who has been missing since last Friday.

Wilford “Ray” Johnson’s family reported him missing June 30 after he did not return home that morning.

He is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, 180 pounds with blue eyes and balding.

Johnson and his silver Honda were last seen the day before by his neighbors and at the Longview Dollar Store.

After he was reported missing, Johnson’s car was found in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest of Skamania County east of Cougar.

While Johnson’s family considers him fit for his age, they are concerned for his wellbeing and don’t believe he would have driven to the forest where the Honda was located.

For three days, the Skamania County Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue personnel conducted an extensive search in the area where the car was discovered but found no signs of Johnson. The search of that immediate area has since been called off.

Now deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding Johnson and urge anyone with any information on his whereabouts to call (360) 577-3092 and reference CCSO case #A17-2008.

Tips can be made anonymously on smart phones with a text using the TIP411 app and make the information to the attention to the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office.
