Police are asking for public’s help in finding a missing Portland man they believe may be in Southern Oregon.

The Portland Police Bureau said 46-year-old Eric Todd McClelland was reported missing July 1 after he failed to return home from a trip to the Grants Pass area.

He had been in contact with his family June 22 and had told them he was heading back to Portland.

McClelland is an avid outdoorsman and can easily live off the land. Police said he may be suffering from a mental health crisis.

McClelland is described as a white male, five feet nine inches tall, 190 pounds with short brown and gray hair.

Anyone with information on McClelland is asked to call 911.
