KELSO, WA (KPTV) -

A 91-year-old Kelso man has been missing for a week and now his family is asking for anyone with answers to come forward.

Wilford “Ray” Johnson was reported missing the morning of June 30 after he didn’t return home. His car was located later hours away in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest of Skamania County east of Cougar, a place his family says he would never go.

Deputies said Johnson’s Honda was found stuck in a ditch with the keys inside but there were no signs of Johnson in the area.

Johnson’s family is worried sick about him and hopes he is still alive.

The family is trying to stay positive and spoke to media Thursday, hoping someone will see the news and call in a tip.

"We need him back. We need to know where he is. We just need to know. To me, I don't feel like he left this area. I think his car left this area - I don't know where he could be," said Johnson’s daughter, Linda Bridges.

The Cowlitz County Sheriff’s Office said it doesn’t have a current reason to suspect foul play, but investigators have run out of clues.

Deputies are urging members of the public to come forward. Tips can be made anonymously with the TIP411 app.

At this time, search and rescue efforts have been suspended but could resume if more information comes in.
