PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A reward is being offered to help catch a hit-and-run driver involved in a deadly crash in southeast Portland in April.

Emergency crews responded to Southeast 122nd and Stark Street at 11:06 p.m. April 16.

Charles Cade, 77, and his wife, Christine Cade, 66, were found at the scene suffering from serious injuries. They were taken to the hospital and Charles Cade died May 12 due to the injuries he suffered in the crash, according to police.

The other driver involved in the crash left the scene. The hit-and-run driver was in a full-size SUV, possibly an early 2000s Ford Expedition or similar vehicle.

The SUV would have likely had front end damage.

The suspect was last seen driving north on 122nd Avenue.

Witnesses reported that the SUV driver sped through the intersection at Stark Street and hit the back of the Cades’ Ford Taurus.

After the initial crash, the Cades’ car hit a telephone pole.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and tipsters can remain anonymous.
