PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

It has been more than seven years since Kyron Horman was last seen.

On Sunday, crews were out looking for the boy in northwest Portland.

Search and rescue crews were out along Northwest Springville Road looking for any clues.

They closed the roadway because of how narrow the road is to protect searchers.

Kyron was last seen at Skyline Elementary School in June 2010.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says there wasn't any new information, but rather Sunday was a time that volunteers could get out and look.

"No new tips, no new details came into the sheriff's office about what was going on," said Sgt. Brandon White. "Like I said, this is an open investigation. The Kyron Horman case is near and dear to our hearts, and it is an open case. Yes, it's seven years old but still we're looking at it actively."

No one has ever been named as a person of interest in the disappearance of Kyron.
