PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A woman was sentenced to home detention and probation for an assault against another passenger on a flight from Las Vegas to Portland.

Heidi McKinney, 27, of Banks, was arrested in May 2016 at Portland International Airport.

A woman on the Alaska Airlines flight told Port of Portland police that McKinney touched her inappropriately and without her consent.

McKinney was initially arrested on the charge of third-degree sex abuse.

McKinney pleaded guilty in March to the charge of assault with the intent to commit a felony.

She was sentenced Monday to eight months of home detention and three years probation. She was also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution.
