MARION COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

A Marion County Sheriff's Office cadet is being charged with invasion of personal privacy, according to Oregon State Police.

OSP said on May 20, the Marion Co. Sheriff's Office was made aware of potential criminal activity involving invasive images of a Marion Co. Cadet Deputy Sheriff that were distributed via a photo sharing app.

The sheriff's office took several steps to protect the victim and placed the suspect, another cadet, on administrative leave.

OSP investigated and then referred the case to the Marion County District Attorney's Office.

OSP said Brooke Eshelman, 18, is to be charged with the crime of invasion of personal privacy. Eshelman is scheduled to appear in court on July 19.

No other information is available in the case.
