VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Police are searching for a pair of burglary suspects who were caught on camera after using the victim’s stolen credit card.

Vancouver officers responded to reports of a burglary the afternoon of July 5 on the 14900 block of Southeast Rivercrest Drive.

Dawn Rasmussen told police the burglars broke into a home she was housesitting while she was in the backyard with her son.

The suspects stole the woman’s purse and a set of keys.

"They came in here and my wallet was sitting right here and I think they saw me and my son out at the pool, so it probably scared them," Rasmussen said.

A short time later, unauthorized charges were made using the victim’s credit card.

"They went to Macy's, they went to a teriyaki place, Champs, another sporting place, I believe, Target, wherever they could, I guess," Rasmussen said.

Rasmussen said the thieves returned the next day and stole a green 2013 Kia Soul with Washington plates AKH9810 from the home. The car remains missing.

"I've never seen them before, but we're going to catch them," Rasmussen said.

Police released surveillance images of the suspects. Anyone with information about the suspects or this investigation is asked to contact Detective Clesson Werner at clesson.werner@cityofvancouver.us.
