PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A Portland man is facing several charges including luring a minor in connection with an undercover online sex trafficking sting, according to police.

Kevin M. Jones, 39, was arrested Friday.

The investigation began last week in Douglas County when Jones made online contact with an undercover law enforcement official posing as a minor.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Jones and it was discovered that he lived in Portland. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office contacted the Portland Police Bureau and informed the Sex Trafficking Unit.

A PPB Sex Trafficking Unit officer posed as a minor and made contact with Jones. Jones made arrangements to meet the undercover officer in a parking garage in the Lloyd District to perform sexual acts.

Detectives said Jones arrived at the parking garage on Friday and was arrested.

Jones was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on 16 counts of luring a minor, two counts of online sexual corruption of a minor in the second degree, online sexual corruption of a minor in the first degree, attempted sexual abuse in the third degree, attempted sodomy, and attempted rape in the third degree.

Detectives said after Jones was arrested, Sex Trafficking Unit officers and FBI agents served a warrant at Jones' house, located in the 5800 block of Northeast Going Street.

Detectives believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information about Jones or are a victim, please contact Sergeant Norm Staples with the Portland Police Bureau Sex Trafficking Unit at 503-255-0118 or 503-545-3391.
