PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

People living near a former bowling alley say squatters have moved in and are leaving trash and needles on the property.

Pinbusterz at Southeast 164th and Powell Boulevard shut down in June 2016.

Neighbors say people have been living in a motorhome in the parking lot, and recently broke in to stay inside the building.

Richard Hines said he has made repeated reports to police about the location.

“I’ve called so many times, the non-emergency number, they know my name,” Hines said.

Hines is just one neighbor who is concerned with the messes being left behind, including human waste on the property.

People in the area said they do their best to clean up what they can, both for safety reasons and for the betterment of the neighborhood.

“I want to sell my home and move to Idaho, and you know what, I can’t. I can’t keep it up enough to get my home on the market,” one woman told FOX 12.

A Portland Police Bureau spokesman told FOX 12 they have received 17 calls regarding the former bowling alley property since February.
