Police arrest suspect accused of armed robbery at Corvallis Subway

CORVALLIS, OR (KPTV) -

Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a Subway restaurant in Corvallis.

Officers responded to the business on the 2400 block of Northwest Monroe Avenue at 3:45 a.m. Tuesday.

A man wearing a mask entered the Subway, showed a handgun to an employee and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The employee was not hurt.

At 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, detectives with the Corvallis Police Department were assisted by the Philomath Police Department in taking a suspect into custody.

Steven Lance Thompson, 39, of Corvallis, was arrested on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary. He was booked into the Benton County Jail and bail was set at $125,000.
