Deputies: One person injured in Marion Co. shooting

MARION COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

Marion County deputies responded to a shooting that left one man injured Wednesday night.

Deputies responded to the 4800 block of Lancaster Drive Northeast at 5:30 p.m. on the report that someone had been shot.

When deputies arrived, they found a 35-year-old man suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Salem Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies searched the area of Portland Road and Hayesville for the suspect but have not yet located him.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a grey hoodie sweatshirt, and was riding a bicycle described as a "beach cruiser."
