MAX disrupted at Rose Quarter due to grout falling from I-5 onto road below

MAX lines were disrupted at the Rose Quarter on Thursday due to grout falling from Interstate 5 onto the road below.

A piece of grout came down at around 7:30 a.m.

The Oregon Department of Transportation is investigating how it happened and accessing the scene.

There were no reports of injuries.

Blue, Green and Red MAX lines were shut down at the Rose Quarter with shuttle buses serving stations between Old Town and the Lloyd Center, according to TriMet.

Service had resumed by 11:55 a.m., but riders were advised to expect delays.
