PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police are searching for a suspect who a woman claimed broke into her north Portland home, sexually assaulted her and stole her car Monday morning.

Officers with the Portland Police Bureau’s Central Precinct responded to the home in the 1700 block of Northeast Irving Street at 6:11 a.m. after receiving a report of sexual assault.

Once officers arrived, the 65-year-old victim told them the unidentified suspect broke into her home before physically and sexually abusing her and then stealing her car.

The witness described the suspect to police as a Hispanic man in his 20s to 30s standing 5 feet 9 inches tall with tattoos on his chest and arms and a goatee who was wearing only jeans.

Investigators said the victim's stolen vehicle, a silver 2012 Toyota Prius, was found Monday night in the area of Southeast 99th Avenue and Stark Street. The suspect was not located.
