Police investigating robbery at Chase Bank in NE Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Tuesday afternoon in northeast Portland.

Police responded to the report of a robbery at 2:41 p.m. at a Chase Bank branch located inside the Glisan Fred Meyer at 6615 Northeast Glisan Street.

Employees told police the suspect used a note to demand money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the store towards Glisan Street.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-30s, 6 feet 3 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray shirt and baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Portland Police Bureau Robbery detectives at 503-823-0405, or the Portland office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at 503-224-4181.
