TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

A cougar sighting was reported at Durham Park near Tualatin on Tuesday.

An anonymous caller reported seeing a cougar on the far end of the north loop of the park at around 10 a.m.

Tualatin police officers walked the park trails, but were unable to locate a cougar.

Earlier this month, Tigard police received multiple reports of cougar sightings and one witness snapped photos of the cougar walking on a trail that runs parallel to Tigard Street.

Police ask people to be vigilant and cautious while using parks and trails and refrain from being alone in those areas.

Anyone who sees a cougar is urged to call 911 immediately to report it.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has more information on cougars in populated areas.
