LINN COUNTY, OR (KPTV) -

A plane carrying three people accidentally overturned in the Foster Reservoir Tuesday afternoon.

Linn County Sheriff's Office says they received reports that a plane went down in the reservoir at 3:20 p.m.

After an investigation, deputies learned the plane, a 1960 Champion fixed wing, was being operated by John Andrew McKinney, 57 of Lebanon. McKinney had the plane on the water and was pulling a juvenile on a tube.

LCSO said the plane was moving at a slow speed and was heading to Shae Point to empty water out of the pontoons when the juvenile fell off the tube. McKinney circled around to pick her up.

One of the pontoons filled with water and the plane rolled completely over, according to LCSO. A witness was able to get to the three occupants and pull them onto their boat.

No injuries were reported.
