PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Officials have identified the second victim whose body was found in the debris after a house explosion in North Portland.

The state medical examiner identified the person as 68-year-old Richard Cisler.

Portland firefighters were called to the scene on a report of a house explosion in the 6400 block of North Kerby Avenue around 3 p.m. Monday.

The home was completely destroyed and at least one home was on fire when crews arrived. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze, but multiple factors such as a damaged gas line and downed power lines hindered their efforts.

Matthew McCrann, 42, was found at the scene and was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, he did not survive.

The cause of the explosion is not yet known. Northwest Natural released a statement Tuesday saying, in part, "At this point, we do not know if natural gas was involved, but we are working with Portland Fire and the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Explosives to support their investigation. They are still searching the property."
