CORVALLIS, OR (KPTV) -

The Corvallis Police Department has received two reports of cougar sightings in the area.

The sightings were both near Northwest Fair Oaks Drive over the last couple of days.

Police said the animal did not act threatening, but officers still wanted to notify the public about the sightings.

Tualatin police said a cougar sighting was reported Tuesday at Durham Park. Earlier this month, Tigard police received multiple reports of cougar sightings in that area.

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife has more information online about cougars in populated areas.
