Crime Stoppers, Portland police seeking suspects in 2005 murder

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Crime Stoppers of Oregon and the Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects involved in the murder of a Portland man in 2005.

On July 27, 2005, 26-year-old Eyo Nyong was standing outside the J.D. Sports Bar in the 3500 block of North Vancouver Avenue around 9:50 p.m.

Nyong was approached by two African-American men who began talking to him. Witnesses said during the conversation, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot Nyong in the head.

The suspects then ran from the scene.

Nyong’s family and friends will be gathering at Dawson Park at 3 p.m. Friday to commemorate the 12th anniversary of his death. 

Information about any unsolved felony crime is eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.
