PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Crews on Sunday conducted a search in northwest Portland related to the disappearance of Kyron Horman.

Kyron was last seen at Skyline Elementary School in June 2010.

Northwest Springville Road has been closed at Skyline Boulevard due to Sunday’s search, which is a continuation of a search that took place earlier this month

According to Sgt. Brandon White, crews are searching an area that they were not able to search on July 9.

There were reports on social media about private residents being asked for permission by search crews to enter their property, and White said this is normal procedure and not due to new information about the possible whereabouts of Kyron.

No one has ever been named a person of interest in Kyron's disappearance.
