Shooting in downtown Portland injures man

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A man was injured in a shooting early Thursday morning in Portland’s Old Town Chinatown.

At 1:28 a.m., police officers responded to Northwest Broadway and Northwest Hoyt Street on a report of a shooting and one victim.

When officers and medical personnel arrived to the scene, they located a man police described as uncooperative and suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for medical treatment. Police described his injury as non-life-threatening.

While investigating, officers learned the shooting occurred at the northeast corner of Northwest Broadway and Northwest Glisan Street.

Police said Forensic Evidence Division criminalists responded to the scene and officers continue to investigate the shooting.

As of 2:31 a.m., police had no suspect description.

Members of the Portland Police Bureau's Detective Division's Assault Detail will continue investigating the shooting and police are asking anyone with information or surveillance video to call the police non-emergency line at 503-823-3333.
