A man visiting Portland from Canada allegedly bit a 14-year-old girl’s breast at this week’s Green Day concert, court documents state.

At the Moda Center Wednesday, a police officer working the concert reported to the lobby area to speak to a teenage girl about an incident.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a 14-year-old girl was at the concert with her mother, who was standing to her left, while the suspect, identified as Joel Dauncey, was on her right.

The girl said she was dancing when Dauncey leaned over and bit her on her right breast. She said she told her mother about the bite and said it stung.

The documents state the responding officer spoke with Pamela McNeal, who was working the concert. McNeal reported Dauncey had been cut off from buying alcohol due to his behavior. McNeal said she witnessed Dauncey bite the teen.

When the officer asked Dauncey specifically about the incident, he denied biting the girl’s breast, the court documents state.

Dauncey now faces one count of third-degree sex abuse (active conduct – no consent) and two counts harassment of another person (offensive sexual contact).

According to the court documents, Dauncey is from Vancouver, Canada, and has a history of drug abuse. He has no prior convictions.

Dauncey was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and was arraigned Thursday. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 8.
